La Vaca Loca Gourmet Market

Décor, furnishing and concept development

Due to the closure of restaurants due to the 2019 pandemic, La Vaca Loca decided to open a gourmet market in part of its main dining hall. The market should match the exclusivity outlook of La Vaca Loca restaurant brand itself. There would be an area for freezers and ready to grill-at-home meat.

The inspiration for this market came from a European butcher’s window display. The goal was to bring an exclusive feel to the products and ensure there was ample space to avoid overcrowding. To achieve this, furniture was designed from scratch and built by local craftsmen.
