City Apartment for a Couple

Interior design, furnishing and storytelling

This couple had an empty flat and a storage full of run-down but modern furniture, and they needed help to transform it into a contemporary and sophisticated space. We were tasked with creating a cohesive design that would blend feminine touches with masculine elements to showcase the coexistence of opposite poles.

We drew inspiration from the couple’s preferences and personalities to create a space that reflected both of their styles. Soft hues of beige with hints of colour and light wood veneers were used to complement the feminine touches, while darker wood and industrial pieces were incorporated to satisfy the masculine side. Black was chosen as the common colour ground to bring both sides together, and we had some pieces repaired and upholstered while others were custom-made by skilled craftsmen. We added a few red elements to hint at passion and love, and the result was a contemporary and sophisticated space that harmoniously intertwined both styles.

The colour black serves as the common ground that unites both
